UPGRADE TO DIGITAL AT YOUR OWN SPEED
Analog and Digital operation will give you the flexibility to upgrade to Digital at your own speed, without sacrificing safety and keeping your business operations running smoothly during the transition period.
CRYSTAL CLEAR AUDIO QUALITY, IMPROVED COVERAGE

Designed with X-Sound+ HDTM for exceptional voice quality. The RDR2500 series radios provide loud 1 Watt of power audio, at the same time eliminating background noise and static from the voice transmissions and delivering crystal clear voice message which results in a better, improved radio coverage.
IMPROVED COVERAGE

Today’s digital technology allows for the transmitted signal to stay strong and clear from background noise for longer distances, until it reaches its maximum range. This allows for virtually no deterioration of the voice quality, thus providing larger usable coverage in areas where analog communication was very poor or not possible at all.
TRUE OPERATIONAL VERSATILITY
The RDR2500 series comes in two different models, the standard RDR2500 unit and the upgraded RDR2550 with 16 character display and industry leading 7 programmable function buttons.

Compare the RDR2500 to Popular Motorola Options
If you’re replacing or expanding a Motorola fleet, the RDR2500 drops in alongside a discontinued Motorola CP200d-style system without forcing you to rebuy the whole lineup. It runs the same analog and DMR digital channels at 5 watts, so it talks to the radios you already own at a fraction of Motorola dealer pricing.
Need more channels or a tougher build? The RCA RDR2550 steps up capacity while keeping the same 2-year warranty and fast, hands-on support. Working in hazardous areas? Look at the intrinsically safe RDR4220. Every one of these is a cost-effective Motorola alternative backed by phones we actually answer, no waiting on hold.
RDR2500 Frequently Asked Questions
Is the RDR2500 compatible with my existing Motorola radios?
Yes. The RDR2500 runs both analog and DMR digital and programs to the same frequencies and codes as your Motorola, RCA, Kenwood, or Icom radios. You can add it to a Motorola system, including discontinued CP200d fleets, without replacing anything you already own.
How does the price compare to a Motorola radio?
The RDR2500 delivers the same or comparable specs and performance as a comparable Motorola handheld for far less. If you’ve had sticker shock from a Motorola dealer quote, this is the affordable solution, and it ships with a longer warranty and faster service.
What range can I expect?
In typical use the RDR2500 covers about 1 to 2 miles. Range depends on terrain, buildings, and other obstructions, so open areas reach farther than dense indoor environments.
Am I locked into one brand for future purchases?
No. Choosing the RDR2500 doesn’t lock you into Motorola or any single brand. Because it works across analog and DMR digital systems, you stay free to mix and match radios as your fleet grows.
How fast can I get support and shipping?
In stock RDR2500 orders ship the same day. When you call, a real person picks up quickly, so you get immediate help with programming and compatibility instead of sitting on hold.
